Royal Blue Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Royal Blue Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 7.23 carats, flanked by two outward pointed kite shape step cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 2.00 carats, to an elegant tapered flanked solitaire design with fluted double claws, an openwork gallery and intricate pierced backholing, flanked by inward tapered shoulders leading to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1960, accompanied by Gemresearch Swisslab (GRS) report #2014-037043, and Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #74182.
