Medieval sapphire solitaire ring. Set with a cushion shape cabochon natural unenhanced sapphire in a closed back rubover setting, with an approximate weight of 0.25 carats, to a solitaire design featuring polished edges, a smooth gallery with grooved detail and closed backholing, leading to solid shoulders and flowing through to a rounded shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1200-1400.

Accompanied by documentation from the Portable Antiquities Scheme stating that this ring was found whilst metal detecting cultivated land in Radley CP, Oxfordshire, UK in June 2022. It is recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference OXON-C0759C; and disclaimed under the Treasure Act 1996, reference 2022T674.
