J.E. Caldwell sapphire and diamond flower cocktail ring. Set with thirteen round old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphires in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 2.50 carats, additionally set with twenty round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.50 carats, all to an ornate bombé form floral cluster, featuring curving claws, a smoothly conforming gallery and intricate open geometric backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders terminating in a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum and iridium, indistinctly numbered, American, circa 1950.
