Hexagonal diamond ring. Set with a hexagonal step cut diamond to centre in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 1.00 carats, flanked by sixteen round old single cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings with a combined weight of 0.16 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.16 carats, to an elegant tapered form with split shoulders and a geometric pierced central collet, intricate backholing and an openwork conforming gallery, flowing smoothly down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1950.
