Antique five stone diamond gold ring, English, by H.L. Brown and Son. Horizontally set with a row of five cushion shape old mine diamonds graduated from the centre with a combined approximate total weight of 1.50 carats, further decorated with eight round rose cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combied weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.58 carats to an ornate carved five stone design featuring curving claws, an ornately pierced gallery with scrollwork motifs and circular open backholing, leading to integrated trumpeting shoulders which feature high relief styalised engraving and tapering down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, maker's mark 'H.L.B' for H.L. Brown and Son, circa 1900.
