Georgian two row diamond ring. Set with sixteen cushion shape old minediamonds in closed backcut-down settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.20 carats, further set to the shoulders with two round rose cut diamonds in closed back cut-down settings with a combined weight of 0.06 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.26 carats, to a double row design featuring curving claws, a closed scalloped gallery and closed backholing, leading to intricately carved shoulders with a scrolling motif and flowing through to a tapering D-shapeshank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1820.
