Set with a round rose cut diamond in a closed back cut-down setting with an approximate weight of 1.10 carats, to an impressive solitaire design featuring stylised claws, a smooth gallery and gadrooned closed backholing, leading to trumpeting carved shoulders and flowing through to a solid carved shank. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1770.
