Set with one central cushion shape old mine diamond in a closed back cutdown setting with a weight of 0.65 carats, flanked by raised shoulders set with six cushion shape old mine cut diamonds in closed back cutdown settings with a total weight of 0.40 carats. The combined approximate diamond weight is 1.05 carats, to a solitaire design with gadrooned backing and ornate split shoulders which lead on to a D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold with silver settings, circa 1820.
