Georgian diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in a closed back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, surrounded by eight cushion shape rose cut diamonds in closed back cut down settings with a combined weight of 1.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.90 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design with polished edges and a radiating sunburst design to reverse, flanked by ornate scrolling openwork shoulders and tapering down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested silver and yellow gold, English, circa 1770.
