Diamond cocktail ring. Horizontally set with two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, set to top and bottom with single rows of ten round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats, flanked by two vertical single rows of ten round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight of 1.20 carats to an impressive cocktail ring featuring corner claws, polished edges and fancy open backholing, the broad integrated shoulders tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, French control marks, circa 1940.
