Art Deco diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, flanked by six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.06 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.96 carats, to an elegant solitaire featuring an openwork illusion setting with curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, the raised linear shoulders tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1930.
