Five stone diamond carved ring. Set with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 0.40 carats, further set with four round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.20 carats, to an ornately carved five stone ring featuring a graduating design, elaborate openwork gallery and pierced backholing, the trumpeting shoulders with decorative scrolling motifs lead to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, maker's mark 'L.P', full English hallmarks for Birmingham, English, circa 1901.
