Victorian diamond cluster ring. Set with two rows of cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back cutdown settings, ten with a combined weight of 1.50 carats, flanked by four round mixed cut diamonds in open back cutdown settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats, embelished to centre with four round rose cut diamonds in closed back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.74 carats, to a horizontal cluster ring featuring slightly scalloped edging and intricately pierced backholing, the open trumpeting shoulders meet to a solid ribbed shank, engraved to the inner with ' K.B. & E.A.C.'. Tested gold with silver settings, English, circa 1880.
