Emerald-cut diamond engagement ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut diamond, H colour, VS2 clarity with a weight of 0.94 carats in an open back four claw setting, set to either side with two tapered baguette diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.14 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.08 carats, to a geometric solitaire featuring a raised rectangular collet with open linear gallery and intricately shaped backholing, flanked by slightly trumpeting square shoulders which lead to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat red gold and platinum, English, circa 1948, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America report #2155716804.
