Edwardian opal and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval cabochon natural opal in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.85 carats, encircled by eighteen round eight cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, all to an elongated coronet cluster design featuring millegrain edging, a decoratively pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and tested platinum, circa 1905.
