Description

Edwardian flanked diamond solitaire ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond, J colour, SI1 clarity, with a weight of 3.08 carats, in an open back claw setting, flanked to either side with eight round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.16 carats, to an elegantly pierced open circular collet decorated with repeating scrolling motifs, gently curving claws, ribbed base and fancy shaped backholing, the raised inwardly tapering shoulders terminate to ridge details and smooth to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, English, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America report #5182128433.
