Edwardian emerald and diamond cluster ring. Set vertically with four round old cut diamonds to centre in open back rubover millegrain settings with a total weight of 0.60 carats, surrounded by thirty eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a total weight of 1.10 carats and further set with twenty tapered emerald-cut natural emeralds with no colour enhancement in open back channel settings with an approximate weight of 2.00 carats. The combined approximate diamond weight is 1.70 carats, to a fancy rectangular cluster with intricate pierced gallery and backholing, flanked by split leaf shaped collets to the shoulders and a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1905.
