Edwardian diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a round transitional cut diamond in a open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.45 carats, flanked by four round eight cut diamonds in an open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.53 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring millegrain edging, an intricately pierced gallery and circular open backholing, leading to raised shoulders with chenier detail, flowing through to a solid D-shaped shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1915.
