Edwardian diamond coronet cluster ring. A cushion shape old mine diamond is set to centre in an open back claw setting with a weight of 2.00 carats, encircled by a single row of ten round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.50 carats, all to an elegant floraform cluster with intricate openwork motif gallery and pierced backholing, smoothly conforming to the finger with delicate cheniers to the inward tapered shoulders, leading to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, English, circa 1905.
