Edwardian Ceylon sapphire solitaire ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire solitaire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.60 carats, to an elegant solitaire design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open circular backholing, leading to split shoulders terminating in ridged detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, numbered '936', English, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81300-01.
