Description

Edwardian Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.83 carats, flanked either side with three round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate diamond weight of 0.56 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design with curving claws, an intricately pierced openwork gallery and fancy shaped backholing, leading to diamond set shoulders, flowing to a slim solid shank. Marked 18 carat gold and platinum, English, circa 1910, accompanied by a GPL report #15729.
