Early Victorian topaz and diamond pendant. Set with a natural unenhanced drop shape old cut topaz to centre in an open back yellow gold claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.50 carats, encircled by a single row of thirteen round rose cut diamonds in closed back silver cutdown settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.70 carats, to an elegant openwork drop shape cluster with articulated etched and fluted triangular loop to top with yellow gold reverse. Tested gold and silver, circa 1840.
