Vintage diamond crossover ring. Set to centre with a drop shape old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.25, further set with six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined weight of 0.90 carats, further adorned with six square step cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined weight of 0.60 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.75 carats, to an elegant cross over design featuring curving claws, a linear pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by conforming trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid tapered D-shape shank. Tested white gold, circa 1960.
