Dreicer & Co. antique amethyst and diamond ring. Set to centre with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Russian amethyst in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.50 carats, further set to top and bottom with two round old cut diamonds in rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats, further adorned by thirty eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with combined weight of 2.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.00 carats, to an ornate cluster design featuring intricate openwork with millegrain edging, a pierced gallery and open shaped backholing, leading to engraved shoulders with a folaite motif and flowing through to solid square shank. Tested platinum and iridium, signed 'D & Co.', American, circa 1910.
