Description

Diamond cocktail ring. Set with sixteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a weight of 1.10 carats, accompanied by fourteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, with a weight of 0.14 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.24 carats, to a stepped heavy bombé cluster form with scrolled gallery and pierced backholing, the large tapering shoulders flowing to a flat solid shank. Tested rose gold and platinum, circa 1940.
