Diamonddrop earrings. A matching pair, each suspending a marquise shape old cut diamond in an open backclaw setting, two in total, with a combined weight of 0.80 carats, one further set with five, one further set with seven rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back channel and rubover settings, twelve in total, with a combined weight of 1.20 carats, each further adorned with four round old cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings, eight in total, with a combined weight of 0.70 carats, each highlighted by twenty four round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings, forty eight in total, with a combined weight of 0.48 carats. The total approximate diamond eight is 3.18 carats, to an elegant articulated drop earring, flowing with movement, featuring polished edges, intricately pierced geometric galleries and linear open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and butterfly, approximately 4.2cm in length. Testedplatinum and 18 carat white gold, circa 1940.
