Diamond cocktail ring, French, circa 1950. A yellow gold and platinum ring with heavy ribbed openwork bombé bezel set with one central round old cut diamond in a platinum claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.35 carats, flanked by a bow-shaped openwork checkerboard form bead set with thirty round eight cut diamonds in platinum box collets alternating with voids with an approximate total weight of 0.60 carats, all on a tapered half round shank, and with an approximate combined diamond weight of 0.95 carats.
