Diamond cocktail ring. Set with one round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.05 carats and one round old cut diamond in similar settings with a weight of 1.00 carats, further set with two round star top diamonds in open back grain set box collet settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.25 carats, to an openwork geometric design with pierced backholing and broad ridged shoulders which taper through to a ribbed shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with platinum settings, numbered '64513', French, circa 1940.
