Diamond cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.45 carats, surrounded by twelve round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats, further adorned with four round old cut diamonds with a combined weight of 0.30. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.87 carats, to a geometric cluster design featuring intricate openwork, millegrain borders and open backholing, the smooth shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested palladium and iridium, Amercian, circa 1945.
