Description

Ceylon sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 3.18 carats, encircled by a single row of sixteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.64 carats, to a coronet cluster design with polished borders, supported by an openwork lattice gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by split shoulders terminating in ridged detailing flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum and yellow gold, circa 1915, accompanied by Carat Gem Lab report #CGL18922.
