Ceylon sapphire and diamond three stone ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.70 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, to an elegant three stone design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and circular open backholing, the inwardly tapering shoulders supported by cheniers, flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, English, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5784-0166.
