Description

Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Set with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire with an approximate weight of 2.90 carats in an open back rubover setting, flanked by four round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.10 carats, to a flowing design featuring millegrai decoration throughout with a structured pierced gallery and circular open backholing, the slightly raised shoulders leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) report #5783-752.
