Art Deco Ceylon sapphire and diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.60 carats, flanked by two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20 carats, to a geometric flanked solitaire design featuring split curving claws and millegrain edging, an intricately pierced gallery with decorative granulation and open backholing, leading to raised shoulders terminating in ridged detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1925, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81313-84.
