Ceylon sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval double brilliant cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 3.58 carats, flanked by two hexagonal step cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.00 carats, further enhanced with ten round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.25 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.25 carats, to a geometric bombé cluster featuring polished borders, intricately pierced linear gallery and shaped backholing, the slightly raised shoulders terminate to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #78125-96.
