Description

Cabochon sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set centrally with one oval cabochon natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.70 carats, encircled by thirteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.55 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster design with curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, the smooth slightly raised shoulders flowing through to a lightly faceted solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-834.
