Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 6.00 carats, flanked with a row of twelve square French cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined weight of 0.25 carats and further embellished with four tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.28 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.53 carats, to a stylish solitaire featuring a raised oval collet with curving claws, decorated with polished borders, open linear gallery and geometric backholing, the squared shoulders smoothing to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, English, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #78153-02.
