 Description

Burmese sapphire and diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with one rectangular step cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back claw settings with an approximate weight of 1.30 carats, further set with two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back half rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.35 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring stylised claws, a linear gallery and fancy open backholing, the slightly raised shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1940, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-2449.
