Description

Burmese ruby and diamond earrings. A matching pair, each set with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting, two in total with an approximate combined weight of 1.10 carats, encircled by a single row of eight cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings, sixteen in total with a combined approximate weight of 2.72 carats, to an elegant floraform cluster featuring finely pierced collets, circular backholing and fitted to reverse with a secure hinged back closure, approximately 1.5cm in length to top of hook. Marked 14 carat yellow gold and tested silver, indistinct markers mark, Austro-Hungarian, circa 1890, accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Services report #81318-40.
