Burmese ruby and diamond ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.50 carats, flanked to either side with four round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, eight in total with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats, to a geometric cocktail ring with structured ridged detail and fancy pierced backholing, the broad shoulders tapering down to a solid flat shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1940, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5776-5192.
