Burmese ruby and diamond five stone ring. Set with two octagonal step-cut natural unenhanced Burmese rubies in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, further set with three cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to an elegant five stone design featuring curving stylised claws, an intricately pierced gallery, and open backholing, leading to shoulders with carved scrolling motifs, and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-1796.
