Description

Pearl and diamond brooch by Boucheron Paris. Set with one central button shaped natural pearl with an approximate weight of 3.24 carats, and thirty eight cushion shape old cut diamonds in open back bead settings with a combined weight of 5.50 carats, four rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats and sixteen round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats and further set with four round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 6.58 carats, to a symmetrical geometric openwork body, all above an open gallery and pierced backholing, the reverse mounted with a secure hinged pin and tubular safety clasp. Marked platinum, signed ‘Boucheron Paris’, French, circa 1920, accompanied by GPL report #04074.
