Bombé diamond cluster ring. Set with a round old cut diamond to centre in an open back rubover millegrain setting with a weight of 0.75 carats, surrounded by a cluster of forty two round old single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.55 carats, to a graduated bombé cluster with intricate radiating curved openwork throughout, to a conforming gallery with cheniers and flowing down to a solid lightly rounded ridged shank. Tested platinum, circa 1930.
