Bombé diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.75 carats, surrounded by a cluster of forty two round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.55 carats, to a graduated bombé cluster featuring curved openwork with millegrain edging, an intricately pierced gallery with chenier detail and open backholing, leading to grooved shoulders and flowing through to a solid ridged shank. Tested platinum, circa 1930.
