Belle Époque diamond ring. A round old cut diamond is set to centre in an open back rubover millegrain setting with a weight of 0.75 carats, flanked by thirty four round old single cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings in an ornate openwork cluster. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.25 carats, set with a cluster of three diamonds to each cardinal point around the central stone, encircled by a semi-circular row with further diamond points, and leading down to diamond set shoulders. All supported by an intricate graduated pierced scrolled gallery, leading down to a ridged solid tapered shank. Marked platinum, French, circa 1905.
