Belle Époque diamond gypsy ring. Set with a cushion shape old mine diamond, in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.60 carats, to a fancy solitaire design with fine open work details, stylised claws, intricately pierced open gallery and shaped backholing, the trumpeting shoulders feature carved scrolling details, fine open work and decorative ribbing which flows down to a solid shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1900.
