Belle Époque cabochon emerald and gold ring. Set centrally with a round cabochon natural emerald with no colour enhancement in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.10 carats, to a solitaire design with millegrain edging, encircled by a geometric border, surrounded by an intricately pierced bezel, flowing through to trumpeting openwork shoulders with crossed ribbon details and engraved stylized foliate forms leading to a flat shank with raised panel. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, maker's mark 'M S', French, circa 1890.
