Art Nouveau medal pendant. A yellow gold circular medal plaque with a raised relief depicting Vercingetorix, king of the Arverni tribe, with flowing hair and impressive helmet to the obverse and on the reverse a druidic scene including an oak tree, a trilithon, an axe, a sickle, further rows of menhirs and a setting sun, to a circular loop to top and oval link, approximately 1.9cm in diameter. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1900.
