Description

Art Deco tourmaline and diamond pendant. Set to centre with a natural unenhanced rectangular step cut tourmaline in an open back rubover millegrain setting with an approximate weight of 3.30 carats, set below a cushion shape old cut diamond in an open back grain set millegrain box collet setting with a weight of 0.60 carats, flanked by two rows of cushion shape old cut diamonds of varying sizes in open back grain and millegrain box collet settings with a combined weight of 0.65 carats, and further set with six round rose cut diamonds, two to the upper link and four to bottom in grain and millegrain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.33 carats, to a stepped openwork form with pierced backholing and an articulated upper loop with oval link chain approximately 17" in length and secure C-clasp fitting. Tested platinum, French control mark, with a marked white gold chain, French, circa 1920.
