Description

Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. Set with one central rectangular step cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 2.00 carats, enframed by three rows of round old cut diamonds extending outward from each side and from top and bottom in open back grain settings, all thirty two with an approximate total weight of 1.00 carats, and with four triangular step cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.80 carats. The total approximate sapphire weight is 2.80 carats, to a geometric openwork cluster with fine millegrain highlights, pierced backholing and on a tapered square shank. Marked platinum, French, circa 1930.
