Art Deco sapphire and diamond double square cluster ring. Set diagonally to centre with two square baguette cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back millegrain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carat, surrounded by two stepped rows of round old cut diamonds of varying sizes in open back grain and millegrain rubover settings, all fifty with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carat. The vertical cluster is set to an elegant pierced openwork gallery with intricate backholing, flanked by inward tapered shoulders leading down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1925.
