Art Deco sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.70 carats, additionally set with twenty six round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 2.10 carats, to a rectangular cluster design featuring curving claws, a finely pierced gallery with scrolling motifs and fancy open backholing, flanked by openwork foliate form shoulders flowing through to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1925, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) report #80269-86.
